Spain and Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has hit out at reports linking him to a prostitution and sexual assault case currently under investigation in Spain.

A Spanish newspaper claimed that he organised a sex party with prostitutes for teammates in which a woman was made to take part against her will.

The claims are contained in court papers in a trial against a pornography baron seen by El Diario newspaper.

A witness claims the defendant forced her and another girl into sex with two Under-21 internationals in 2012.

At a press conference on Friday night, De Gea said the claims were false, before going on to deny further reports that he would be withdrawn from the Spain squad.

"It is all a lie. It's all false what has come out in the press. It is in the hands of my lawyers," De Gea told journalists in Saint-Martin-de-Ré, where the Spanish team is preparing for their opening fixture against Czech Republic on Monday.

"I'm calm. If anything I am going to have more determination. I'm looking forward for Euro 2016 to start," he said.

"I'm a very chilled out guy, and not many things get to me. When something's not true, it doesn't bother me. I just want to get on with training and doing my job."

Spain go into Euro 2016 as defending champions, having won the two pervious tournaments in 2008 and 2012.

De Gea was widely tipped to be Spain's first choice keeper at the tournament.
