West Brom took on French giants PSG on Wednesday night in Austria. They gave a pretty good account of themselves too taking the lead thanks to a David Luiz own goal but they ultimately ended up on the wrong end of a 2-1 scoreline. It did though extend their winless streak to 10 matches after a very sluggish end to last season and they’ll be hoping to get a morale-boosting win here to lift some of the gloom that seems to be surrounding the club right now.

This is Kidderminster’s first official friendly. They are preparing for life in the National League North after they suffered the disappointment of relegation last season. They actually ended the campaign very strongly taking 12 points from their final 6 games but it wasn’t enough to stave off relegation to the 6th tier of the English football pyramid. They’ve not been that far down since 1986 so these aren’t great times for Harriers but a home friendly against Premier League opposition should provide them with a welcome cash boost and if they can perform as they did in the closing games of last term, they should be able to make a contest out of this.

Results aren’t the most important thing in pre-season but Tony Pulis will want one here. He doesn’t enjoy enormous popularity amongst the West Brom fans despite a respectable season last term. There haven’t been many new arrivals yet this summer so a win even against lowly Kidderminster will at least provide them with a lift and given Harriers aren’t that far along in their plans for the new season they should get it.

The Baggies are likely to again make wholesale changes at Half-Time so it could be a disjointed game and backing West Brom to win 2-0 at 13/2 might be the best way to go here rather than a bigger win although they should be ahead and comfortable by Half-Time with a stronger eleven likely in the 1st Half.

West Brom won 3-0 the last time they visited Aggborough in a 2010 friendly.

West Brom haven't won in over 4 months since a 1-0 victory against Manchester United at the Hawthorns. Kidderminster are unbeaten in 6 matches.

Kidderminster have signed 9 players on free transfers this summer and some of them will make their debuts here. Ashley Carter and Andre Brown have joined from league clubs and should feature.

Matt Phillips could make his second start while youngster Tyler Roberts could get another chance to impress. Kyle Howkins could also feature against the club he has just left.
