This game sees two sides clash who made bright starts to the season but have faded badly since. With local pride at stake and the chance to go into the international break on a high, both teams will be desperate for the win.

Fulham have enjoyed the better of the recent meetings but they’ve been very poor in recent weeks. Since the last international break they have failed to win any of their 6 matches in all competitions. They haven’t been horrendous fixtures either so early talk of a possible play-off challenge looks a little premature. Since beating Newcastle on the opening day, they’ve collected just 2 points from their 4 home games and look to be lacking a genuine goal threat with only 9 goals in 10 games this term. Their last home game resulted in a 4-0 home defeat against Bristol City but they did at least pick up a solid point at Nottingham Forest in midweek.

QPR also picked up a point in the East Midlands on Tuesday. They came from behind to draw 1-1 at newly promoted Burton Albion following on from a draw last weekend against Birmingham. They are 2 points worse off than their West London rivals and like Fulham have collected more points on the road than at home so far. Wins at Cardiff and Wigan suggest they are over their away day blues that plagued much of last season.

They did pick up a lot of away draws though following the appointment of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. They’ve avoided defeat in 11 of their 16 Championship away fixtures in 2016. With Fulham not looking in good shape right now and having failed to win since August, backing Double Chance – Draw or QPR at 4/5 looks to offer value, although it’s hard to make a strong case for either side winning this match.
