In this Champions League 2nd leg fixture Monaco will host Manchester City.

Aside from their loss to City in 1st leg, Monaco doesn`t have other defeats in the last seventeen games. They are also one of the most prolific sides in Europe, averaging almost three goals per game. After defeat against City, Monaco recorded four straight wins, scoring twelve goals in process. On Saturday they beat Bordeaux 2:1 at home. First half was pretty uninteresting, without real chances from either side. Monaco had more possession, but that was all, really. It was 0:0 all the way until 68th minute when Mbappe scored to make it 1:0, only for Moutinho to raise the lead six minutes later. Bordeaux were able only to soften a defeat with Rolan finding a net in 84th minute. That win kept Monaco at the top of the league, in front PSG and Nice. For this game they will miss injured Boschilia and Carillo.

Manchester City are coming into this game undefeated in the last eleven competitive games. However, home draw against Stoke in their last league fixture, certainly won`t satisfy them. On Saturday they were involved in a FA Cup quarterfinal game against Middlesbrough, which they`ve won 2:0. Guardiola named his strongest squad for that match, and City was completely in control since first minute. Silva scored in 3rd minute to give City lead which would give them peace early in the game. Visitors were controlling the possession and getting into chances on a regular basis. Middlesbrough looked completely powerless and if there was any doubt about who will come out as winner, it was all over in 67th minute when Aguero scored. It was a pretty solid performance from City and they will be eager to build on that. They will be without injured Gundogan and Gabriel Jesus fro this game.

Last game finished 5:3 in City`s favour, but it could have easily finished with even more goals considering chances from both sides. Therefore it`s only logical to expect similar scenario again. There is no clear favourite here, and anything is possible. However, considering that Monaco need at least a two-goal win, they will need to attack from the first minute. That should open up a game, and if 1st leg brought us eight goals, there is no reason this time we shouldn`t see at least three. Even though City conceded just one goal in the last four matches, they are coming here against probably the deadliest attack in Europe, and it will be almost impossible for them to keep a clean sheet. While on the other hand, Guardiola surely won`t play defensive, no matter the situation, and City should be able to find a net here. Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals looks inevitable, and even though the odds are at record-low 1.57, I will still take them.
