Cameroon will look to bounce back from defeat when they face Sudan in their second Group B match at the 2017 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
The teams will meet at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola on Thursday afternoon, kick-off at 15h00 CAT.
The Indomitable Lions suffered a major set-back in their opening match on Monday evening, going down 3-1 at the hands of South Africa.
Eric Ayuk put Cameroon ahead in the match, but a hat-trick from South Africa’s Luther Singh ensured Amajita ran out victors.
With Cameroon desperate to return to the U-20 World Cup for the first time since 2011, they will have to defeat their Sudanese counterparts to remain in contention for a semifinal berth in Zambia.
Sudan, meanwhile, came within a minute of defeating 10-man Senegal in their opening clash.
Hassan Mutwakil put them ahead in the first half, but the West Africans struck back in the 89th minute through Ibrahima Niane to force a share of the spoils.
Cameroon will start the game as favourites, but Sudan’s determined showing against the Teranga Lions shows they will be no pushovers.
