Orebro have been having a decent season so far in the Sweden Allsvenskan, but recently their performance levels have begun to dip a bit. They began the campaign by winning seven of their opening ten matches, but as the midway point in the season approached they started to flag a bit.
They come into this game having recently ended a four match winless streak against relegation threatened Falkenberg, but they are still in an excellent position to improve on last season’s 9th place finish thanks to their fantastic form in the opening portion of the league campaign.
They are currently sitting in 4th position in the Allsvenskan with 27 points from their first 15 games, putting them one point outside the top three and five points adrift of the leaders. They have only lost one of their last eight outings in the Allsvenskan too, although that did come against Malmo earlier in July.
Malmo are the side topping the Allsvenskan table as well, so they will prove to be more than capable adversaries. They have drawn two matches in a row after their 1-1 score against Kalmar last weekend, but this did make it seven games unbeaten in the league, and all of the other five have been victories for the title challengers.
If they can secure the league title this season it would more than make up for a disappointing 5th place finish last season, but there’s a long way to go yet and they will need to get back to winning ways soon in order to fend off current champions Norrkoping, who sit just a point behind them in 2nd.
Away from home they tend to do pretty well as well. They have won four of their seven away days this season, losing twice but finding the net in every one of them. This has resulted in quite a few high scoring games, with five of their seven away days having at least three goals scored in them.
Orebro have seen more than two goals scored in four of their seven home games, keeping two clean sheets and failing to find the net twice as well. But there have been 18 goals scored in their last six home matches, and considering Malmo’s excellent scoring record on the road I can see this one being a high scoring affair too.
I’m not expecting either team to keep a clean sheet either, so my prediction is for Over 2.5 Goals and Both Teams to Score at 10/11, and I’m going for a 2-2 correct score prediction at 10/1 as well.
Malmo have won three, drawn three, and lost one of their last seven meetings with Orebro.
Malmo have seen Over 2.5 Goals in 71% of their away days, with 71% of them also seeing both teams get on the scoresheet. Orebro have had more than two goals scored in 57% of their home games, with 57% of them also having both teams find the net.
Orebro are expecting to have a fully fit squad on Monday.
Malmo aren't expected to have any injury concerns. Watch Live stream free Click Here | Link 2#
