Melbourne Victory vs Brisbane Roar Live Stream Hyundai A-League Match Preview & Prediction 2017

Melbourne Victory managed another comfortable win on Saturday as they beat current Hyundai A-League champions Adelaide United. This made it five wins on the bounce for them, and they are now unbeaten in their last eight games in the competitions. Seven of these eight have ended in a full return of three points too, so they are most definitely the team to beat at the moment.

This excellent run of form has allowed them to close the gap on A-League leaders Sydney FC. They are now seven points adrift of the frontrunners, but they do have a game in hand and look the most in form of the two sides at the moment. They have also built up a six point lead on 3rd placed Melbourne City, turning the title chase into a two horse race.

At home they have turned into scoring machines of late. They have won five and drawn one of their last six games, since a humiliating 4-1 defeat against Melbourne City. In these six games they have scored a huge 21 goals and conceded just five.

A lot of these goals have come courtesy of Besart Berisha and Marco Rojas. The two have 21 league goals between them so far this season, but Rojas has scored eight of them in six home appearances so he looks the best choice for our anytime goalscorer predictions at 7/4.

Brisbane Roar were in the fray to start chasing the runaway Sydney FC, but two defeats in their last two games has brought that pursuit to a grinding halt. They have now won five, drawn six, and lost three of their A-League games this season.

This leaves the visitors in 4th position but with a huge 15 points separating them from the leaders. Away from home they have only won two of their seven games as well, losing two and drawing the remaining three.

Melbourne Victory are a class apart at the AAMI Park at the moment, and I think the bookies are leaving a lot of value on the table for us in one respect. The hosts have scored at least three goals in four of their last six home matches, and with Brisbane Roar showing cracks defensively at times, odds of 2/1 for Melbourne Victory Over 2.5 Team Goals look incredibly good value. I’m going for that along with a 3-1 correct score predictions at 12/1.
