LA Galaxy look to have gotten out of the mid-season rut they endured throughout May and June. They had only won one in a run of eight games in all competitions and were winless in seven MLS outings.
However, they managed to get another win on the board when they knocked Portland Timbers out of the US Open Cup, and this sparked the resurgence that they needed. They have won their following two MLS games against Whitecaps and Seattle Sounders and look to be back on track now.
This has boosted them to 3rd in the MLS Western Conference table, and although they are a significant eight points adrift of FC Dallas at the top of the table they have two games in hand on them. Colorado Rapids are still five points clear of them though, and they have no games in hand on them.
Houston Dynamo are enjoying a bit of a resurgence themselves. Their goalless draw at Orlando City on Saturday followed on from a win at home to Philadelphia Union, with these two results being enough to lift them off the foot of the Western Conference. They are only a point clear of Seattle Sounders though, and the trailing side have a game in hand. It is a big step in the right direction for the previously struggling Houston Dynamo though.
The visitors have now won three, drawn four, and lost one of their last eight outings in all competitions, and they have managed seven points from their last six MLS matches.
Houston Dynamo’s away form isn’t looking much better though. They have lost seven and drawn three of their ten away days this season, whilst LA Galaxy have won six and drawn four of their home matches in all competitions.
Whilst they may still be unable to win an away match, Houston Dynamo have managed to find the net in three of their last four away days and six of their ten overall, whilst LA Galaxy have conceded in six of their nine home games as well. This makes odds of 1/1 for Both Teams to Score look very good value, and that’s what I’m going with for my main prediction along with a 2-1 win for LA Galaxy at 15/2 for my correct score prediction.
LA Galaxy have won two, drawn one, and lost three of their last six meetings with Houston Dynamo.
Both teams have scored in 67% of LA Galaxy's home matches and 60% of Houston Dynamo's trips away this season.
Right back Robbie Rogers and left winger Ariel Lassiter are both out injured.
Left back DaMarcus Beasley and left midfielder Rob Lovejoy are sidelined for the visitors. Watch Live stream free Click Here | Link 2#
